Welcome to Forano-Sabina

The purpose of this web site is to acquaint prospective tenants with our converted farmhouse ("La Bufalaia"). It is situated about 50 kilometres north of the centre of Rome Italy, in the Sabine hills overlooking the Tiber valley. Our house is surrounded by 2 hectares (5 acres) of hilly land. Access is by a private 500 metre country road connecting it to the main local road, which ensures relative isolation.

The house is comprised of two flats, each of which contains three double bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The air-conditioned main bedroom of the lower (ground) flat has an additional en-suite bathroom. Each flat has heating, is completely furnished, and equipped with gas oven, washing machine, large refrigerator, and TV. All required kitchen utensils, as well as linen and bedding are provided for a fully occupied flat. A private 5 x 10 metre swimming pool is situated 50 metres from the house but is at present not available for use as it needs repair.
The property is situated very near to a railway station with service to Rome and Fiumicino airport. There is a nearby exit to the main motorway (A1) between Rome and Milan. We rent the lower flat for 11 months at a time, from the first of September to the end of July, and the upper flat on a weekly basis.
